VLM is an easy to use, yet powerful
behavior change intervention that provides the knowledge, skills, encouragement and support necessary to change behaviors. With 16 weekly and eight monthly lessons, your patients will spend one full year using VLM to better understand their
barriers to losing weight, learn proper nutrition, and understand the importance of
increasing physical activity. Throughout the program, your patients will take lessons, complete workbooks, plan their activities using a patent-pending drag and drop planning calendar, plan meals and track their fat and calories with an online
food-tracker. Additionally, they will receive daily emails with reminders, guidance and support.
The secret to your patient’s success on VLM is their online coach. Once a week, the coach reviews the patient’s activities online and sends a support message to the VLM user. The patients can email their coach anytime they need assistance or direction.
Using VLM is simple and intuitive -- patients generally spend about 5 minutes per day tracking activities, and about 30 minutes once each week to complete lessons and reflect and plan the next week’s activities.
